Friday Five

1. Who was your first best friend? Jennifer Kinsey - we're still in touch, but she lives in North Carolina. We met when we were like four or something.

2. Who have been some of the most influential people in your life? My sister Deana, my mother, Hans, Sybil, Mr. B., Drew K.

3. Do you usually have one best friend or a lot of close friends? I have a few really close friends, and then random acquaintances I don't get to spend much time with. (I am the classic introvert!)

4. Do you believe people of the opposite sex can be best friends and not lovers? Hey, that's a heterosexist question, isn't it? I do believe it's possible, no matter what the sexual orientation is, however I prefer being best friends with my lover simultaneously.

5. Have you ever fallen in love with a friend? Yep - that's how Hans and I came to be. ;)

Visit with Sybil's parents

Hi Susan, thanks for checking in. I've read through your entries here and there recently, but just haven't left notes as I've had just a little time for skimming through stuff. I did write about my visit with Robert and Ginny here: http://www.livejournal.com/users/jessiqua/2005/05/17/ I hope you can access it alright, if not, it was written on May 17. I am still planning on another visit this summer, but my schedule's just gotten so hectic lately. They seem to be doing well, considering what they've been dealing with. We frequently write emails, a few each week sometimes. I think of Sybil so much, I miss her terribly. It continues to sink in on other levels, other realms of acknowledgement and experience. It sometimes doesnt' feel real, still. I can't believe it's been six months already.
I hope all is well with you! Take care ~

Re: Visit with Sybil's parents

I realized that I had not seen a post from you in awhile, so I thought I'd pop in to check. That job sound perfect for you. It must be so rewarding to be able to make some progress on their lives like that. Kudos to you!

By the way, any word about Sybil's memorial? I hope it hasn't come and gone already? Please let me know.. thanks.
